Take it from this reporter, (who doesn’t earn a penny), “The Book Architecture Method is the most important book I’ve read on writing.”

At the Palo Alto Riconada Library on Mar 16, 6:45pm, writing coach and editor Darlene Frank will help you discover what you can do on your own before you give your manuscript to an editor, and what to expect as the two of you work together.
David Strom will kick the tires on the new Writers Helping Writers event at the San Mateo Library on Mar 09, 6:30 pm, co-hosted by librarian and new member Tuula Laine and David, who will present on reading your works aloud, emphasizing live open mics. Members at San Francisco Writers Conference
Carole Bumpus, organizer of the CWC conference booth writes, “Of the twenty-two volunteers who came to work at the SFWC CWC booth this year, [our branch] had the most members come to help.” These were: Karen Sundback, Anne Marie Wenzel, Richard McCallum, Pat Obuchowski, Marianne Brems, Marlene Suliteanu, Sonya Doernberg, Brad Hoge, Bruce Neuburger, Vanessa MacLaren-Wray, Katherine Russell, and Geri Spieler. Our volunteers reported great experiences. Here are two: Karen reported, “This was an amazing volunteering opportunity. I learned so much--not only about writing, but also what to do with my writing skills.” And Marianne, “From my perspective, the most valuable part of my experience at the conference was talking to the other volunteers. It really made me feel part of a community and I got some valuable information as well.” Congratulations, team! 👏
