December 10, 2022

Dear members of the San Francisco Peninsula Branch of the CWC,

News Update December 10, 2022!

Newsblast Break Time!

This will be your only newsblast in December. Your news team is taking the rest of the month off. But ... who are these marvelous volunteers who keep you informed, anyway? They are:

Thanks to them you know what's going on and have an opportunity to brag about your amazing accomplishments. Do I hear applause? (Yes, louder, please … louder!)

Next Regular Meeting: January 21, 2023

There's no meeting until January 21!

But it's really something to look forward to: You won't want to miss member Sam Kauffman's presentation, "How to Read Your Writing to an Audience." Pre-register for $10 to attend meetings or pay $15 at the door. In-person only, Sequoia Yacht Club. Sam plans to share all her secrets, so don't miss this one!

Fault Zone — THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE (members only)

December 30th approaches — your last date to submit for publication in our next branch anthology, Fault Zone: Detachment. This is a great opportunity to see your work published. Only members can submit. See Rules & guidelines.

New Member Orientation

We are holding a new member orientation on Sunday, January 22, 2023, from 2 to 4 PM at the lovely home of Carole Bumpus. This is for new and (er, uh, relatively new) members and a great way to connect! Geri Spieler and Carole say: "Please bring your questions and interests. We want to let you know the possibilities to support your writing career and what we can offer you in multiple ways. But we are most interested in learning more about you."

Invitations will go out soon. If you're new and haven't heard back from us in a week or so, please contact president Geri Spieler: gspieler@gmail.com.
